The Large Art Company is a fine art gallery in

and patina.

The Process
When you hire us to do your
life-size portrait sculpture
we make it easy. We
require 25% to start, 50%
upon approval of the clay
sculpture and the final 25%
upon delivery.
If the subject is alive it
is nice to have new pictures
from different angles.
However, many of our
projects involve people who
have passed away.
That's OK, but we will need
as many photographs as you
can provide to show
different angles,
expressions, etc.
We will discuss with you how
you want your subject
portrayed and review
pictures of the location
where the sculpture will be
located (site survey).
Then, we will do a drawing
of what the completed
sculpture will look like.
Upon approval, the artists
will commence work.
The most difficult part of a
portrait sculpture is the
head and face. We will
do that first and upon
completion we will send you
digital images from several
angels for your approval.
Upon approval, we will
sculpt the body, clothing
and other props.
When the clay sculpture is
completed we will again send
you digital images for your
approval. If you would
like to visit you are more
than welcomed to do so.
Upon approval we will begin
the molding and casting
process.
We can provide installation
service for an additional
fee, but we are also happy
to coordinate installation
with a local company of your
choosing included in the
price of the completed
sculpture.
Ordering
If you are interested in
more details about getting a
custom portrait sculpture
made, please call us to talk
more specifically about your
project and we can give you
a firm quote. If
budget is an issue you might
like to consider a portrait
bust or a more general
sculpture that captures the
sentiment and meaning of the
memorial and use a bronze
plaque to tell the story.
Custom portrait sculpture is
a
specialty. You won't
find a higher quality
anywhere. Although
$59,000 may seem like a lot
of money; for the months of
work and materials that go
into a project like this it
is really a bargain.
